For September I am thinking about knitting a shawl using yarn from Icelandic indie yarn dyers.

March shawl is live!

I need more days in august!
I´m a little worried, starting work and painting my house has taken a lot of my time lately. I´m still working on the second sleeve with only a week to go… I haven´t even decided how to finish it…. and I´m using a 2.5 mm hook!
August progress
The cardigan is coming along smoothly but boy can it be difficult to knit a thick Lopi (not even lopi light) cardigan in August. First of all, it´s not really portable because of the shear size and weight of it and second… it´s so so so warm. But soon it will be winter and I will be thankful that past Arndís was smart enough to knit a super warm cardigan BEFORE winter came.
Hello my name is Arndís….

Colorful!
Maybe I have the name already… Colorful, cute name for a colorful cardigan…. Iv´e been very busy today calculating decreases for The Librarian (May´s cardigan), tidying up my yarn stash and my living room. Finally I found some time to write a few words and I decided I had to show you my current work space, it´s so comfy. Here is a little sneak peak of the cardi “Colorful” with a view over my work space at the moment.
February Fancy published!

Top of the world!
I have been out of range since Monday on a 5 day hike in the north parts of Iceland a total of 42 km. It was amazing, horrifying and everything in between. I feel like I can do anything now.
I have decided to finish a cardigan I started a few years ago because it suits those months photo perfectly and I have to often been asked if there will be a pattern available. It’s also the perfect stash busting pattern. There will be no photo of the project for now since I’m on my way home from the hike but I will give you a few photos from my week!

Summer Announcement

Exciting July
This month we both have summer vacation so we decided to treat ourselves 🙂
We asked our favorite Icelandic dyer, Vivid wool, if she was willing to participate and of course she was. We sent her the photo of July and she made us this beautiful hand dyed yarn inspired by the photo… So GAME ON!
