I cant say I enjoyed this project, but mostly because of the time constraint. I am already looking forward to making a speckled/hue version of the cardigan later… (when I have time). Boy did it make a dent in my ever growing stash. I have so many little balls of luxury yarn that I just cannot bring myself to through away and this project used them all. The design consist of a slip stitch pattern, so your just working one color at a time, of two rows with three different color bases.
The main base: 2,5 skeins of lovely Einrúm, a lopi/silk blend as my base that I bought to make a sweater that I later scrapped.
second base: all sorts of fingering and sport white and off white yarn used in various baby projects.
all sorts row – grays, yellows and multicolored yarn mostly Madeline Tosh.
Tomorrow I have a photo shoot date with my lovely friend Vaka, cannot wait to show you.
Happy June! Cannot believe this is our sixth month! We are half way there.
Stash busting, really looking forward to this one. I’m actually very diligent on giving away my stash to charity… but I ´m a bit more dingy on my more luxurious stash like hand dyed yarns or cashmere. So for june I ´ m designing a sweater that can incorporate as much or as little of your stash to make a beautiful sweater. Using all those little balls of yarn you just can´t find it in you to give away.
Photo shoot time. Maybe showing a bit to much but I hope Edda forgives me. My little alpha female does not hate the camera, can´t wait to show you guys more!

Hello my name is Arndís and I can’t stop making swatches!!! The concept was Fair island pattern inspired dress… but the darkest color that I bought doesn’t fit. So stash diving was in order and I´m using left overs from the February Fancy hat as my darkest color. I´m also thinking of not making a traditional fair isle pattern but use a slip stitch pattern with the traditional fair isle color contrast
Happy Easter everybody!
I´m really loving this pattern. I had to change the design of the baby sweater because couldn’t stop making the pattern. It’s even pretty the WS as you can see in the picture

My Easter has been a combination of wonderful food, laughter and outdoor activities with the family….. And knitting a lot of knitting but no pattern writing… oh well.
In publishing news I got the February Fancy hat back from my wonderfully talented tech editor Sarah and my friend Kristjana is test knitting it. The Thorra Cardigan is ready for tech edit but I’ve decided to knit it in another color to show the pattern more so that´s on hold until I’ve finished .
